The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be conducting zero pressure tests on the main water supply to the Fish Hoek and Sunningdale areas on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 and Wednesday, 25 November 2020. Read more below.

Residents are advised of water supply disruptions that will be affecting their areas during the following times:

• Fish Hoek, Silverglade, Sun Valley and Clovelly areas: Tuesday, 24 November 2020 from 21:00 until 02:00 on Wednesday, 25 November 2020

• Big Bay, Dune Ridge, Blouberg Hills Estate, Sandown Estate, Blouberg Beach and Melkbosstrand areas: Tuesday, 24 November 2020 from 19:00 until 02:00 on Wednesday, 25 November 2020

• Parklands, Sunningdale, Table View, Blouberg and Sandown areas: Wednesday, 25 November 2020 from 19:00 until 02:00 on Thursday, 26 November 2020

Businesses and residents are advised to store water in clean sealed containers for use during this period.

They should also ensure their taps are closed during this period to avoid water loss or damage when the water supply is restored.

This work forms part of the City of Cape Town’s Water Demand Management Strategy. It will allow the City to manage water pressure more effectively, thereby reducing the possibility of pipe bursts, and water wastage.

The City regrets any inconvenience caused.
